Good day!
First, I would like to introduce myself, my name is Crisanta, 21 years of age and currently studying as 3rd. A year college student at San Jose Community College, taking up the course of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English. I aspired to be a professional teacher someday because I wanted to share my knowledge and be an inspiration for my future students. Moreover, I am the second child in the family and I have three more siblings. We are all studying and as a matter of fact, two of us are now 3rd. Year college and two more high school students. My older brother stopped his studies for one year due to difficulties we faced during the pandemic that’s why we turned to the same year level. My father is a person with disabilities, but he still works a lot. My father works as a pedicab driver, and my mother is a housekeeper. With this situation, my family has faced many difficulties in living, particularly in terms of financial needs, but this will not be an excuse for me to give up on my dreams. Despite the difficulties, I am now a third-year college student, I’m still doing everything I can to make my dreams come true. I wanted to get a degree so that I could have more job opportunities in the future, so no matter what happens, I will do my best and put in a lot of effort to make it happen. With this, a particular scholarship could be a huge help to my education. It will help me with my educational needs and will greatly assist my parents in their efforts to meet the needs of my three siblings. One of my prayers is to provide the opportunity to receive a scholarship and it could be an answered prayer for me if I receive it. As a college student, I faced numerous challenges, not only financially but also mentally and physically. There were times when I wanted to give up, but knowing that I have a family who needs my help and that I can help them get out of their current situation is one of the reasons why I kept going. I am rooting myself to be a successful professional teacher and businesswoman someday. With these dreams, I will go to any length to ensure that my dreams will happen. As a result, receiving a scholarship is not something I will take for granted; rather, it will be an honor for me to receive such a generous gift. I’m doing well in school and am always on the Dean’s List. I promised you that I would study harder and do my best in all aspects of life, not just academically, because I know that it is the only thing I can do right now to make you and my parents proud.
