About Me:
Hello! My name is Jonna, 19 years old. I was your current scholar and blessed that I was. When I was a current 1st year college student I took up the course, Bachelor of Technology Major in Garments because I was inspired by my mother and I have the knowledge and skills making clothes. What I lack on making this decision was that I didn’t ask God for His guidance nor what His will was for me nor if this course will be of use in His ministry. Growing up, my parents separated, my mother had struggled on supporting us financially, feeding us, and giving us what we need for school and even our basic or everyday needs and with that I had a hard time coping up with my studies, especially. That is why I consider everything even when I make little decisions in my life, my mother who tries her best, financially to support me with my studies not only me but my other siblings aswell. I consider the financial expenses so, I try my best to do my part to support my studies. Although, having this Bachelor does not require much of expenses when it comes to the school supplies but I need to print out the books needed, photocopy the module from the teacher, and other expenses required from the school and from our department. Within these months I try to be consistent in my prayer life not only I want to shift courses but I want to be more useful in God’s ministry and to think about what’s best for my future. So, after months of praying I had the courage to tell my pastor for I see him as my father about my future. With my pastor’s blessing and advices I took up this program, Bachelor of Science in Architecture aside from being my dream course, I also want to design our church building and be a blessing in the Church, and also to help my family especially to my mother and my Pastor’s family who adopted me and treated me as a daughter of their own. My pastor, Pastor Joel Arevalo and ma’am Theresa adopted me and helped me to be in school despite of struggling financially because being a pastor and being a child of a pastor is hard. I realised that when I lived in one roof with them but throughout those trials I saw God’s love towards them. I thank God that they help me even if they’re shortened financially, I am blessed and thankful to God for having this Scholarship program and for the people he use to be a blessing to me. This Scholarship program helped me in my studies and needs in my studies. Despite of hardships I will do my best and give my best for God, Pastor’s family, my family and for myself. And I am always thankful for His goodness and love towards me.
