Good day! To begin with, I’m Daisy, twenty-one years old, currently taking a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Values Education, from the Philippines, and one of the Punla Scholars, a returning student under Pastor Juan Jaime Sto Tomas. With this, I want to express my deepest generosity toward your endless support. So far, my daily life as an education student has somehow been easier because of your financial support. As a student, I’m currently struggling with some crises in my studies. One of these was family and financial problems that caused stress, anxiety, and trauma for me. Three years ago, my parents separated. My father left us for another woman and her family. But still, we, my brother, sister, and I, choose to survive every day because my mother has been doing her very best to provide for our daily expenses by doing laundry here in our community for almost 20 years. In addition, my mom is the only one supporting my youngest brother’s and my education because my siblings have their own families to support. To be honest, it was hard for me to see my mother still working at her current age (fifty-nine years old) because she told us that she’s already exhausted from doing laundry three times a week at her employee’s house. Moreover, as a college student, I’m also suffering from random breakdowns because of paper work, but I still choose to continue and try my very best to get the diploma I was aiming for because I know God is with me, always guiding and protecting me at all costs in my degree journey. I WILL BECOME A PROFESSIONAL DEGREE HOLDER, AT GOD’S WILL.
