About Me:
I am Mark, a 4th year College student taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English at Partido State University. I am the eldest child in our family consist of five siblings. Being the eldest child, I am always determined to push through and finish my studies in College despite the struggles of meeting our daily ends and supporting my education from the limited money that my father earned and harvested from being a farmer and doing some extra carpentry if there was a need of his service. Ever since, I was little, I saw the sacrifices and hardships that my father and mother gone through in raising us and supporting our education. Because of this fact, I always dreamed and aspired that someday I’ll gonna be the breadwinner of our family and help my parents and also my siblings by uplifting them from the state of poverty and provide all their needs in life. They are the reasons why I pursued my studies and aimed to finish my degree no matter how hard or how long it takes.
Studying and excelling in any subjects or in class is not a problem for me to be honest. In fact, I am consistently on the honor roll and an achiever since I was in elementary up until now in College. I excelled academically and strive for continuous growth and progress in all areas and aspects of life. I am resourceful and do all it takes to accomplish and submit all the requirements, assessments and activities that were asked of me in all our subjects. I am not afraid nor ashamed of asking for someone’s help like borrowing laptop to compile a document or doing some research which are all study-related.
There is one thing, one essential component in studying which I wanted to have ever since. A LAPTOP, I always desire to have one since I pursue education and it essential for doing research, creating presentations, making lesson plans, and accomplishing other activities which a smart phone cannot or unable to function or done productively. I always wanted to own a laptop but I am not capable of owning one since it is somehow expensive and I am ashamed of asking my parents to buy it for me knowing their situation and struggles. The money that I received from Punla was the money that I spent and alloted as budget for my school expenses like transportation, foods, internet, and other school expenses. I kept the stipends for this purpose thus I refrain from asking my parents for budget for my daily school expenses to lessen their financial burden. I cannot save enough money out of those stipends for this reason that’s why I am unable to buy my desired laptop, even the cheapest one to support my studies. But, I’m hoping that someday I can save up enough money to buy one as I can also use this laptop in the future in the time that I am working or on the field of teaching.
I am graduating next year and I am striving to become a Cum Laude if possible. Currently, I am a member of Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church in Goa under Pastor Juan Jaime Sto. Tomas. I am honored to be a baptist and I am proud to say that since I have became one, my faith and spiritual life have grown a lot. I have learned more about our Lord Jesus Christ, about his grace, and about the truth of this world. I have grown spiritually in this new life that I have as a baptist. That’s all I wanted to share about me. Thank you! God Bless.
