This spring PUNLA Christian Ministries was blessed to have a 14 member team representing five churches from Nebraska, California and Texas come with us to the Philippines. We visited 19 partner churches and saw 17 prospective properties for churches and EcoStim projects.
Our trip activities included:
- PUNLA sponsored a 2 day Pastor Training Conference in Ocampo Cam.Sur. headlined by two of our team members Pastor Irv Jennings and Dennis Miller. The training and fellowship was a true blessing. One of the most memorable moments was distributing 34 donated laptops to pastors who did not have a computer.
- 2nd Annual PUNLA College Forum in Goa Cam. Sur. Seventy students attended and 50 students were awarded scholarships. The highlight for us was hearing from one of our former scholarship students. She told her story and how God had blessed through PUNLA Christian Ministries.
- We held several children’s events during our trip. We had more than 300 kids at our events in Pinit and Goa, and another 400 plus kids at our 19 church events.
We had lots of highlights on our trip, but I think the team members most liked our morning off in Donsol to swim with whale sharks. Truly an amazing experience to be so close to one of God’s beautiful creations and the largest fish in the sea.
