On behalf of PUNLA Christian Ministries, I want to thank the community for their remarkable support.
Arnold, a tiny town in Nebraska with a population of about 600, donated more than 4,500 lbs of clothes & shoes. Thanks to the community Vacation Bible School clothing drive, the Baptist Church shoe drive and the Community Thrift Store, we will be shipping 2,680 clothing items, 410 pairs of shoes and other items later this month. Additionally, our partners in Arnold have given nearly $10,000 to pay for the shipping of these items and the construction of a Church in the Philippines.
PUNLA is planning to distribute the clothes & shoes during our Oct 2016 mission trip to the Bicol region of the Philippines.
Growing up in Arnold, I don’t think I recognized or appreciated the exceptional nature of our community. As I’ve grown older and watched from a far, this exceptionalism has been evident time and time again. I am personally very humbled, and thankful for your support.
