I am always amazed by stories of how God answers prayers. Most of us however don’t recognize it when it happens.
We had just such an experience this Fall.
A little background information is needed. For the last two years, our pastor partners in the Philippines have been telling me how much they pray for organized pastor training. In fact they asked me personally several times if it would be possible for a pastor from America to come and hold a training event.
I’m not a pastor and had no idea how even to ask someone to come with us. I told them I would try but let it slip my mind after we returned in April 2017. Then by chance (of course I know its not by chance, its God’s perfect plan), at dinner one night in August 2017 at my parents home, Pastor Irv Jennings declared to me out of the blue, “Can I come with you next time and hold some sort of a pastor event. I fell God wants me to go”. I nearly fell from my chair. I’d never mentioned the prayer from our partner pastors in the Philippines. God simply provided, even if I lacked the faith to step out myself.
So, God does answer prayers and even uses people like us to do it. We will be sponsoring a 2 day pastor’s conference in Ocampo Camarines Sur in April 2018. I am excited to see how God uses this event. More than 100 pastors have already shown interest in coming.
