Health-Harvest-Hope Outreach

PUNLA provided free blood testing for 500 patients during our October Mission. Our objective was to provide health diagnostics for 3 health issues arising from diet: Diabetes, High Cholesterol and Anemia. We conducted seminars to explain the blood testing results and demonstrated how diet modification can address the health problems. More than 750 people attended our 5 nutritional seminars.

We distributed more than 2500 donated items (clothes, shoes, etc) at 5 locations for more than 700 families.

We saw and heard how our seed program was impacting the local communities. 10 local churches started gardens with the seeds we provided in March. We were able see many of the gardens. The real pleasure came when we were blessed with meals prepared from the produce of these gardens. What an amazing blessing experiencing God Blessings with those reaping the benefits. PUNLA provided seed packs and instructions for 300 families and seeds for 21 churches to start community gardens.

Bright Futures Programs

The Bright Future programs continue to be something extraordinary to be a part of. God is using our organization in a way we could never have imagined.

Student Programs:
Our team met and interviewed 18 students for our College sponsorship program. And I’m proud to say, that 16 students will be sponsored. Special thanks to our sponsors who are allowing us to change the economic conditions for the families of 16 students. 11 Students are currently enrolled with an additional 5 students starting their studies in June as part of our Bright Futures College Tuition Sponsorships program.

Ministry Program:
The ministry support program has been amazing. During our October Trip our team was able to see inspect 3 completed projects including 1) Roof repair for the church in Port Junction Ragay, 2) documentation for 5 year Sangla (lease) for location used by the church in Tamban Tinambac and 3) Chairs for 6 partner churches.

Additionally, PUNLA awarded funding for several church projects in Bicol including 1) Construction of a church building in Tagbac Ragay, 2) Church renovation in Casay Lupi, 3) Ceiling repair for the church in Port Junction Ragay, 4) Roof repair for the church in Sagnay.

Our team also visited more than 15 prospective church locations to evaluate land purchases.

PUNLA had 21 pastors attend our pastor meeting in Pinit and expanded our church partners from 10 to 21.

EcoStim Program:
Our team launched our Economic Stimulus Program during this trip. Our partner pastors have been very receptive to our proposals. We have received 5 applications and awarded 1 business plan loan since we returned.

Thanks again to all of our partners. Without your financial support and donations we could not make a difference in Bicol. All things are possible with God. Stay tuned for updates on our activities and sponsorship programs.

God Bless
